Every time I message another iPhone user, it makes me use sms or rcs, not iMessage. It says iMessage is on in settings, but under it, it says “Activation Unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again.” Also, the option to turn on my iMessage is greyed out.

Because iMessage is not activated. Eg: it says “Activation Unsuccessful.
