How do I delete old school account in Contacts app on iPad?

I changed school a year ago and my Contacts is still showing the old school's account and it keeps promoting me to login at my old email address which I know has been deleted.

All the settings for this account has been greyed out.

How do I delete it? It doesn't have any contacts in it any longer.
