How can I view photos not in "Albums" on iPhone 16 Pro?

In my iPhone 14 the photo-app had the option to filter and see which photos were not placed in an album.

Now, with the iPhone 16pro & same iOS version, this viewing filter option is gone.

How to know which Photos stil need to be put in an album and which already are in an album?

Just a hunch - in iOS18 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, the filter "Not in Any Album" is only available, when I am using the "All Photos" tab, but not, when viewing another collection or album, or when already another filter has been applied. The button with the two arrows needs to be shown in the lower left corner of the display.

Are you viewing an album or another collection, when you are checking the Filters? Then try to switch to the "Library > All Photos" tab, as shown in this screenshot.

Navigate to the bottom of the "Library, click "All", then the two arrows in the left lower corner, then "Filter".

That's odd. It should not be model dependent. My iPhone 16 Pro Max has that feature when running the appropriate iOS version.

You said "the same iOS version" but did not say what iOS version you meant. Perhaps if you stated precisely what version you have on your 16 Pro, another 16 Pro owner running the same version can tell you where they find that feature.
