How do I get the music from my cd into the apple music app?

Had to download Apple Music app to be able to put new music onto my ipod. Yes, I still use one. Now I am trying to add new music from a cd and the app just won't let me. No cd icon, no automatic "here it is". Still came up in itunes, but because my music is all in this app, I can't do anything with it there either. So, do I just find another way of putting the cd on the PC and listening to it, or can someone help me?

Yes, I get that I am in the dark ages, but people still like the things they had in the 2000's. And the ipod, which has lot's of space, doesn't use my phones battery. Oh, and I am on Windows 10.

You cannot. The Apple Music app for Windows does not currently support ripping CDs.

Uninstall it, the devices App and the TV app if you installed those too, and go back to iTunes. There is nothing stopping iTunes from syncing to a iPod and ripping CDs.
