Unable to import my music from SSD to Mac

Now it seems that ANY of my music on my external SSD won't import any of my music at ALL. Most of the songs I have on my SSD, is part of my CD collection and YES I own them as well. When I do import on my MacBook computer nothing happens, no existing music ever gets transfer over and yes, I looked into the privacy setting and made sure that it has access.

I UPDATE my IOS, MacBook air and iPhone 15 but nothing is working. nothing back back as a corrupted drive.

For the WMA files, get a 3rd party converter and convert them to MP3 or AAC. WMA cannot be played in Music on Mac and in fact has been functionally obsolete for at least 15 years.

For the files that play, make sure they are referenced in your Music library. If they are not, import them per the steps in here: Import music from a computer to Music on Mac - Apple Support

Once your library is OK, sync the phone the usual way.

I converted the songs, however, when I drag and drop into The Apple Music and when I went over to the Apple device devices to sync it, it does not go on my phone. Even I went into the settings of Apple Music and I When I hover over the library and add folder to library and then re-sync my phone back to the Apple devices it does not put the songs on my phone

Apple Devices is a Windows app. Can we clarify if this computer is running Windows or macOS? Do I take it that the newly converted tracks do at least play in Apple Music app?

See Sync content between your Windows device and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch over Wi-Fi - Apple Support and review the sync selections to make sure that your new additions are included somewhere in the content that is selected to sync.

My windows computer is a Windows 11 Pro version 24H2.

I’ve already tried the necessary steps about converting the songs to whatever format they need to be.

I also find it odd that I was able to locate the same album that I was trying to convert. However, to my surprise, I found the same album Aaliyahin the iTunes Store, ready for purchase.

I converted this song album Aaliyah to file M4A.

Yeah, the *NSYNC file plays fine on my phone. However, I did some testing and I found another reliable format and I’ve gotten at least 16 albums on my phone in a different format which it seems to work for now and yes, I’m able to play the 16 tracks that I was able to upload on my phone today with no issues for now.

CCL,

Glad it is all working now. Enjoy the music!
