YouTube studio not available on Mac

I can no longer access YouTube studio on my MacBook. It's still available on my iPhone SE, but I cannot even upload a video from the Youtube standard page without it going to a completely blank studio page.

I have cleared cache and cookies, and disabled extensions, but still nothing. I can't find anything from YouTube about any changes or any fix. It seems to be unique to me!

Your profile indicates you are running macOS 11.7 Big Sur which is now obsolete and no longer supported. It is possible that YouTube now requires a more modern OS and/or Browser. Have you tried using Google’s browser, Chrome, Firefox, or Brave to see if things work again.

Yes! Thanks. I used Chrome and it works fine, so must be my OS.

I don't like using Chrome, or anything Google gets their hands on. I've had so much trouble with things like YouTube when Google took over, and their security is frustratingly bad. TikTok also tells me that I won't get the 'full experience' uploading my videos if I don't use Chrome, but it's working fine. For now.

I'm scared of upgrading my OS as I fear my old MacBook Refurb (2017, 2.9GHz i7, 16GB) would become really slow at processing.

TikTok lies, but so do a lot of others. They're all brainwashed. No one needs Chrome.

It would not surprise me to learn that the “best experience” actually being offered here is for the vendors; for Google data and metadata collection, and for third-party services that also track including TikTok. But no, Safsri works fine.

To Irishrebel40: MacBook Pro models from 2017 are supported with macOS 13 (“Ventura”).

How to download and install macOS - Apple Support

Have a complete and current backup before you upgrade, etc.

Then use Brave. Brave is Chrome without the Google.

Opera and Vivaldi are also likely to work.
