Unable to add email address due to existing account on iPhone 16 Pro

An identical exchange account already exists. I am not being allowed to add an email address. It has never existed on the subject iPhone 16 pro so there is no duplicate. None of the answers address this problem. There is nothing for me to delete on the phone. HELP

Given Microsoft Exchange Server mail is usually a business function, check with the IT group, or with Microsoft support.

This for the Microsoft error A user with this name already exists. Use a different name.
