Logic Pro wont open since I upgraded to 11.2

Logic will open until i want to select my current project then it tries to open but crashes out after loading a few instances of Console 1, Omnisphere and Kontakt. Everything is as up to date as possible. Sometimes it will load but it is one time in 20...

When it does load i can work with it for as long as i keep Logic open. When i restart/shutdown this is when it then crashes..

Has anyone any ideas as to what might be going on.

Cheers

  1. Which version did you update from and to? The most recent Logic version is 11.2.2 and the Macos is 15.6.1
  2. Are all plugins compatible ?
  3. What computer Model are you using?
  4. Are you running Logic in Rosetta or native silicon?
  5. Look in Utilities > Console > Crash Reports. Maybe you find a hint.
  6. Have you created a backup of Logic (and your entire computer) before upgrading? You can place several Logic versions in your Application folder as long as you rename the old logic versions into something meaningful like Logic Pro 10-8-1 (avoid special characters other then "-" or "_").

When you say it crashes, do you actually see the Logic menu bar disappear from the screen, or is it just that your project doesn't open up on the screen?

  1. Press cmd + tab. If Logic's icon shows in the list of running apps, then highlight Logic's icon and let go of cmd + tab.
  2. Now press cmd + 1. This selects the Open Main Window command in Logic's Window menu.

I've opened projects and not seen them on my screen, but cmd + 1 always makes them show up.

Why that happens, I don't know.
