How to find out which Title is being used?

Hi!

Fairly recently, I bought a new Mac Mini so I have been reinstalling all my software.

Upon loading up a previous Library, there are some elements that are missing; specifically, some Titles.

The problem is, when you click on the Title in question, it doesn't appear to show me anywhere what the Title is, so I don't know what plugin pack it is that I need to install/locate!

When you click on a missing Transition, it does offer its name when you click. And, technically, the Title also does but, sadly, it's just listed as 'Title 14', which doesn't help as many packs can have similar listings.

Is there any way to find out?

Thanks!

James

Thanks for the reply!

As it happens, I managed to locate the Title but came across another issue.

In two separate projects, one is using 'Title 14' and the other is using 'Title 15', which both appear to be from the same Title pack.

Title 15 works fine, but Title 14 is displaying as 'missing media', however, if I bring in a new title of the one which wasn't working in the project, it works fine.

Any idea why this would be the case?

When I've run into a title that doesn't load and am unsure where it came from, I usually export an FCPXML of the project that contains it, then right-click on the fcpxmld file to open package contents then open the info.fcpxml and view it in a text editor. Search for "Title 14" or "Title 15" and see if it gives you a path to the where the Title is expected to be and it might give you a clue about the pack it came from.
