How to delete data associated with an App from icloud

I am using "OneControl Auto" app as part of the brake controller for my camper trailer. I need to reinstall it completely so it can reconfigure itself from scratch. I have removed the app from my phone, marked it as don't back up in iCloud however when I go to the app store it still shows as something I have in the cloud and when I download it my profile still exists. How do I get rid of all associated data with this app? That is what the manufacturer is recommending but they aren't able to tell me how to do it.

  • Long pressing the app on your Home Screen should display “Remove App” as a choice.
  • Selecting “Remove App” should offer “Delete App” as a choice.
  • Selecting “Delete App” should reveal the following, which appears to do what you’re trying to do.

  • iCloud backup is completely irrelevant - until you need to restore that backup.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. I have been doing that. The manufacturer is telling me that I need a fresh copy of the app. They are saying I need to turn off “cloud download”. They are saying when I try to download the app again I should see the “Get” button rather than the cloud icon. I see the cloud icon. When I open the app and begin set up it should ask for the tangible units PIN number when pairing. I don’t get asked for a pin and it instead loads my old profile. The crux of the problem is the old profile has a bad configuration and I just need to start fresh. The manufacturer keeps saying it is stored in Apple’s cloud. I have tried deleting data as you suggested but I just keep getting my old profile when I install the app again.
