Transaction history won’t update Apple Wallet

All of a sudden, the transaction history has stopped updating for a few of my cards added to my Apple Wallet. I have restarted, reset network settings, deleted all cards and added them back, deleted the app and re-downloaded but it still won’t load the full history nor will it update when I make purchases. Chase said it’s not an issue on their end and purchases are all going through. Would appreciate any insights!!

The transaction history that appears in Apple Wallet app is provided by the bank. Your transaction data (history) is encrypted on your iPhone to keep it private from the merchant and Apple.

If you’re iPhone is not receiving data from Chase, ask Chase’s support team to escalate the issue and reach out to Apple.

You can perform basic troubleshooting steps such as updating your iOS, updating the Chase mobile app, discontinuing use of VPN’s, discontinuing use of antivirus software and restarting your device.

Unfortunately, it’s tough training the 1st-Line CSRs on the possible “failure modes” of ApplePay.

It’s just too easy to “blame Apple” out of ignorance.

Plus … it’s one of those systems which “almost always works” … so few CSRs have the actual experience to recognize when it isn’t … and to properly respond.

The issuers DO have “ApplePay Saavy” reps.

One just has to be politely-firm to be escalated to their level.

Your issuer is your ONLY point of contact into the little-understood, multi-tiered payments-processing industry.

See a bit of it described here:

ONLY your issuer can sort-out the details for you.

If this was more than a few isolated cases, the community would be overloaded with posts. All my credit and debit cards are updating on a near instant basis. You’re welcome to contact Apple support and go through the troubleshooting steps.

I’ve had the same issue, but only with the Goldman Sachs (G.S.) Apple card. The other cards in my Apple Wallet are updating transactions. I’ve done everything possible short of getting a new phone. G.S. said they didn’t know what was causing it and sent me to Apple Support. Multiple texts and calls with Apple Support resulted in a Technical Support Case/Claim being created. Five days later and still no resolution, probably won’t get an answer any time soon.
