AppleTV CEC wakes up All connected devices

I’m having issues with my AppleTV waking/starting up All connected (HDMI) devices upon start.

As it is now, the AppleTV wakes up the receiver, TV, blu-ray player and whatever else is connected in the same system - which for obvious reasons are quite stupid. There’s no reason to do this. If I’m watching AppleTV I’m not going to want to play a game or watch a blu-ray.

Apparently under the settings, previously there were separate toggles for CEC waking up TV and home theatre systems - which now are combined.

Anyone else with this issue?

And perhaps a solution?

the way it works is that the remote send the commands to the appletv box and the appletv box pass on the commands using the hdmi cable using hdmi-cec Consumer Electronics Control - Wikipedia

so it's sort of out of the appletv boxs "hands"

if the tv turn on all devices connected it's the way the tv works, maybe the tvs configuration has a means to control how it responds to the turn on command send over hdmi-cec, the appletv box has no insight as to what is connected to the tv and how the tv respond to the turn on command
