Apple Notes: how to make global edit to every line in list

I am constructing a language stack to use with AnkiWeb.

I have a Note file about 200 lines long, with Italian word, period, some spaces and English translation word.

The number of spaces vary.

Anche.                          Also
Anzitutto. First of all
Argine. clay,

I would like to convert it to

Anche-Also

Anzitutto-First of all

Argine-clay

I haven't been able to find a global method of doing this. Can some one help? Thanks.

Bob ~ Any AI app should be able convert your pasted-in text ready for pasting back into a Note. Here's the sequence from Prompt to Result in ChatGPT app on iPhone:

==============================

Reformat the following bilingual word list so that each pair is written in the form Word-Translation, without extra spaces, dots, commas or alignment characters. Example:

Anche.          Also → Anche-Also

Now transform this text:

Anche.             Also

Anzitutto.      First of all

Argine.     clay,

==============================

Here’s your cleaned and reformatted list:

Anche-Also

Anzitutto-First of all

Argine-clay
