My Apple Watch Series 7 battery draining rapidly after watchOS 11 update

Recently 4 (days ago) updated Apple Watch 7 to IOS 11…….

…….and the troubles began

i usually charge the watch daily and I have accepted the limited battery life. Three days after updating, the Watch went full dead in about 5 hours of wearing. (From 100%}

it would not accept charge the entire day.

The next day, I tried again and got it charged to full. I was relieved. Until about 5 hours of wearing the watch, I got a low battery alert.

plugged it back in, it trickled back up to 17%.

I did a factory reset. I did the install based on back-up files from the phone, so I removed all but 2 after market apps (hoping to reduce the battery draw).

The watch was a little better today and got through 6-7 hours of wearing and it was at 45%.

Thr only change was this update.

Any advice??
