OSX Photos: Lost all links to People

When I open OSX Photos on my 2017 iMac, all the links to "People" no longer exists; i.e. if I had 100 photos that identified 'Sandra', these are no longer recognized. Only thing I did recently was to rebuild the index, so don't know ifs that's the issue and the People links will get rebuilt by themselves over time... They were OK as little as 2 weeks ago.

Photos Version 8.0 on Ventura v.13.7.8
