Remote (second) screen connected to MacBook Air Sonoma: toolbar (not dock) is off the screen. It's there because when I place the cursor outside the viewed space and click, the menus show up. I have already tried going to "Mission Control" to Uncheck the box next to "Displays Have Separate Spaces." The resolution for my monitor is correct at 1080p. Thanks in advance.

As noted, you need "Displays have separate Spaces" turned ON.

If the menu bar is there, off screen, then you probably are also able to move the cursor off screen to reach it. This sugggests that for some reason your mac is using some "overscan" on that monitor (like old tvs used to do).

Depending on display, an overscan slider or checkbox may be present in System Settings->Displays.

If so, turn it off or slide it left.

If not, see if there are other resolutions available for the display; turn on "Show all resolutions".

If in doubt, post a screenshot of what you see in System Settings->Displays when the display in question is selected.
