Can MacBook Air M4 16gb RAM handle AutoCAD and ArchiCAD?

Hello, I wanted to ask if MacBook Air M4 16gb RAM can handle AutoCAD and ArchiCAD? I’m beginning architecture studies and searching for appropriate setup for them. I’d be grateful for advice.

Although AutoCad 2026 for Mac suggests 8GB and recommends 16 GB or higher), those are RAM requirements for AutoCad after the operating system uses its own RAM requirements. I recommend that you get at minimum 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB drive in an M4 MacBook Pro. The M4 Air has no fan and may run warmer than you prefer using a GPU intensive application suite.
