Where can I locate the actual wallpaper files/images on my MacBook? I don't mean in System Preferences> Desktop and Screensavers. I mean the location of the photos / images.

The actual wallpaper image files on a Mac are primarily stored in /System/Library/Desktop Pictures for default Apple wallpapers, and user-added or downloaded wallpapers are typically in your user's ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.mobileAssetDesktopfolder or a similar location depending on your macOS version.
If you co to system preferences and then wallpaper you see all of the wallpapers, in the title is the location of the image included
