FaceTime 'Allow Control' button not working on Sequoia 15.6.1

"Allow Control" of shared screen not working, despite FaceTime screen sharing itself working. previously worked fine.

"Allow Control" button turns blue when clicked but nothing happens.

Both Macs running Sequoia 15.6.1 and using FaceTime Version 36 (36).
