Apple Music Web Stuck in Preview for All Songs

Make Sure Widevine (DRM) Is Enabled

Apple Music uses Google’s Widevine DRM to deliver full‑length tracks. If Widevine isn’t active, the browser can only play the short preview clips.

1. Open Brave Settings → Extensions → Widevine

• In the address bar type brave://settings/extensions.
• Look for Widevine Content Decryption Module. It should be enabled. If you don’t see it, click “Enable Widevine” (you may need to restart the browser afterward).

1. Confirm the module loads

• Visit a site that uses Widevine (e.g., Netflix) to see if playback works. If Netflix also shows only previews, Widevine is likely the culprit.

Tip: On Linux, Widevine is bundled with the Chromium base used by Brave, but sometimes the component fails to download automatically. Updating Brave to the latest version usually pulls the newest Widevine binary.
