How do I reduce CPU usage on MacBook Pro?
Computer has been acting sooo slow. How can I stop any background processing and reduce cpu usage

Before fixing anything, identify what’s hogging your CPU :
Open spotlight (cmd+space) - type “activity monitor”
Check the CPU tab .
sort by % CPU .
After these steps you can see which processes are the biggest offenders. Look out for apps or background processes you don’t recognize or need .
