macbook pro gets backup and sync has encountered a fatal error and will now terminate

can I delete backup and sync then reload to fix? or whatdo I look for in console msgs?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7

For problems with Google Backup and Sync app, check with Google.


From what I can tell of it, Google ended their Backup and Sync app in 2021, too.


Usual backups with macOS would be using Time Machine to directly-connected storage, or to NAS storage. If off-site storage is needed, some NAS devices also support transferring data off-site.
