How to stop Safari on iPhone 16 from auto-zooming on input boxes?

My iPhone 16, while using safari, zooms in on input boxes. All the fixes online is a coding solution. That isn't me. I don't know where to change a code to make my text size greater than 16 font or something like that. How do you stop safari from zooming in on boxes where you input information? It is highly annoying.

Breakdown as my word selection may not be fully understood.

I am using a company's chat feature on their website in Safari. When I hit the box to ask my question or type a response, the box is zoomed in on and it kicks the "enter" button off screen. I don't need this zoom and I don't want this zoom to happen. I have to get a lucky swipe to not select other options on the screen to get ot the enter button. My eyesight is good enough that no zoom is legible in 99.9% of situations. I'll can zoom as needed myself.

Is there a way for Safari to not zoom in when I type in an input box without coding language? Additionally, the Accessibility Zoom within setting is off.

It is the person who design's the web-site and web-pages for that company who decides how things are set-up to display. (ie: The coding they have in use would be set by them.) Many times, websites are designed with a few certain browsers in mind, and they do not display well on all the other browsers in use. It is expensive to hire well-trained designers whose web-site designs work just fine on all web-browsers.

There is often information about "preferred" browsers in their "support" or "help" pages, you could check if Safari is listed, and if not, and you intend using that website often, perhaps download and install a browser (eg: like Mozilla's Firefox, if that is listed).

It may depend on how the web=page's web-designer has set things up to display, and which browsers are preferred by the website's tech. team. You can experiment with changing the text to a smaller size.

For iOS 18: Apple support's article (link below) has lots of tips.

Customize your Safari settings on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Change the text size for a website on Safari

Use the Page Settings button to increase or decrease the text size.

  1. Go to the Safari app  on your iPhone.
  2. Tap  on the left side of the search field.
  3. Tap the large A to increase the font size or the small A to decrease it."

All the best :-)
