There are hundreds of variants on Mac notebook computers. Some are not capable of what you seek, but you have not shared which Mac you have.
It is hard to effectively help in this setting where none of us (all end users like you) can see nor remotely access your computer to find out what you have. And believe me, you do NOT want us to start guessing. That could get you some potentially harmful instructions.
We need three things to get started: Model; sub-model; and macOS version. They are easy to find. From your Apple menu, do "About this Mac..." Depending on your macOS verison the resulting information window can very, but, the three ket metrics are always there.

For security reasons, please DO NOT include your serial number. Doing so will get your post zapped and we're back to Square One.
