Unable to fix loud beep in iPad Text-to-Speech with Bluetooth headphones

I’m using adobe acrobat’s read aloud function on my iPad, but when my bluetooth headphones are connected, I get a loud beeping sound whenever a paragraph ends. Im having a hard time figuring out if the issue is with my headphones, or the iOS, or the pdf reader.

Any suggestions are welcome.
