Apple operating systems are required by the terms of their licensing to run only on Apple hardware. Thus, if you are running a High Sierra guest with VMware on an Intel Mac, there should be no legal issue.


Recent versions of VMware should install a guest from a .dmg, just as Parallel's Desktop does. You should not need to convert it to .iso.
