How to copy data from the hard drive of MacBook air 2020 m1 if the image output to the monitor does not work (so I can't see what I am doing)? As I understand there's no way to connect to the hard drive directly.

If the internal display isn’t working, connect an external display, even a TV. You may need to press Command-F1 to toggle mirrored mode so the external display shows the primary desktop.
Once you have display access, you can connect the Mac to another Mac.

That sounds more ominous than just the display not working. With Apple Silicon, you need to be able to see the screen to select the disk to transfer from. If it is something wrong with the GPU, I doubt you would see anything, but did you try the procedure in neuroanatomist's post?
