Recovering iMovie files from MacBook Pro after software update

Hi everyone, I have MacBook 2015 and since I updated software, iMovies not working and asking for update iMovies which couldn’t possible . I stored memories of my family . I got scared and uninstalled the software and reboot my ssd without Time Machine and all it showing full empty Gb . Is it possible to get those videos of my family . I tried through disk drill but fail . Please any help
