Apple Music no longer plays music on mac and web

I believe this coincides with my upgrade to Sequoia 15.6 -- directly from Sonoma. But I am not totally sure -- don't remember if I was able to play music after upgrading to Sequoia.

When I click play on a streaming track, nothing happens and the track stays at 0:00. Downloading the track does not help, but once I've downloaded the track, it seems to instantly skip past it and get stuck again on the next non-downloaded track. Dragging a local .m4a into Music works fine, it will play my local tracks. But it won't play any Music tracks, whether downloaded or not.

I tried logging into music.apple.com and that does not work either. My library loads fine, but when I click play on any track I get a popup that says "Something went wrong. Please refresh the page and try again."

I suspect it's some kind of glitch in my account then? But Music still works fine on iPhone which is tied to the same account...

I've tried de-/re-authorizing, logging out of "Media and Purchases" and back in, which reloads the cloud library, moving the library location, restarting the machine, etc., basically everything that is suggested in what I could find in related threads...
