SMC panic power down failed on MacBook Pro M1 14"

My MacBook Pro M1 14" is crashing while going on sleep mode by itself and when I shutdown the laptop it becomes really difficult to get it power on, After continuous holding of power button several times it gets turned on.

And after the Mac turns on after crashing while going on sleep mode it gives following error

I tried restarting, SMC reset, re-installing MacOS but none of the options helped.

FYI, there is no SMC Reset for an M-series Mac. That only applies to an Intel Mac.

I'm fairly certain you have a hardware issue.

The only other thing you can try is to perform a DFU Firmware Restore which resets the security enclave chip, system firmware, and internal SSD followed by pushing a clean macOS onto the internal SSD. Unfortunately this requires another Mac currently running macOS 15.x Sequoia (it can be tricky putting a Mac into DFU Mode....the instructions in the Apple article must be followed exactly...timing is everything).

If you still have the issue after a DFU Firmware Restore....especially before installing any third party software or restoring from a backup, then you have confirmed a hardware failure which will need to be repaired. This is the best & easiest way of getting Apple to repair a Mac with an intermittent issue.

Can you please let me know what needs to be done to fix this issue ?

It means if you have this issue when no external devices are connected, then you will either need to have Apple repair the laptop (most likely to replace the Logic Board), or purchase/use another laptop.

FYI, make sure you have frequent & regular backups because that issue could become worse to the point you won't be able to boot the laptop....plus if you have the laptop repaired, then you will lose all the data on the internal SSD unless you made a backup prior. People should always have frequent and regular backups of their computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data. There are a lot more new ways to permanently lose access to the data stored on the internal SSD due to all of the hardware, software, and security changes. Data recovery is no longer an option except for retrieving data from backups users have made prior to encountering any failures/issues.
