How to import music videos into the Music app on a MacBook Pro?

The solution is not to go to file and add as that does not work, it took me ages to figure it out.

First go to you media folder then next the music folder create a Music Video Folder then drag all your music videos into that folder. Now go back to file then import and select the entire folder or individual MP4 files and then open and thats how I got my music videos into the music app.

Apple have created ways to prevent you from adding files that aren't bought through them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your solution with the Community.

Seems there are other methods too, in the useful resource: Apple Music User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

Eg: one of the articles:

Add music to build your library in Music on Mac - Apple Support

Eg: says:

As you start using Music on your Mac, you can build your music library — your collection of songs and albums — in many ways.

Amongst other informatiion: Above article also says:

___________________

"Add music from CDs:

If your computer has a CD or DVD drive or you have an external drive, you can import music from your CDs to your music library. Then you can play them any time, even without the CD."

Import music from other sources

Eg: says:

"You can import music from other sources, including your computer (for those personal recordings), other music libraries on your local network using Home Sharing (so you can share music with others easily) and from the internet (when a website allows you download an audio file)."
