how do i manually select audio input and audio output on the ipad?

I want to use my Bluetooth earphones as audio output and my internal microphone asked the audio input for my iPad. But I don’t seem to have an option to manually select these. I read this from a forum before that they’ve already solved this issue, but I don’t understand what they’re referring to.
