Apple Music playlists from shared account persist after creating individual subscription

I shared an apple music account with my dad, but ended up getting my own subscription with my own apple ID. I thought I'd have to start over but it is still showing all of my dad's stuff (recently added, recently played, playlists) but it shows as my account? I'm not gonna complain if it transferred over bc I have so many playlists, but I don't want to delete my dad's stuff if our accounts are linked some how. Wondering if anyone knows whats up?

You need to do this on your phone, then set it up as a new device using YOUR Apple account.
