how to get itunes to work on windows 7

hi, i have a windows 7 computer and i have an old iphone (the first one ever produced) which is i cloud locked. i tried multiple copies of itunes, including the oldest one on the site and setups from internet archive, all failed. my computer has 50gigs of storage left and has nothing wrong with it. please help

  1. The very first iPhone (from 2007) does have iCloud lock. It cannot be updated past iOS 3, which did not even support iCloud at the time.
  2. You should be able to plug the iPhone into any Pc with iTunes and have it be detected. click here ➜ iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community
  3. What exactly happens when you try to install iTunes?
