Does VueScan Professional work or does it conflict with OSX Sequoia

VueScan Professional has a setting on its Output panel to OCR the PDF as the document is scanned.

If you have an existing scanned PDF of a document and you wish to OCR that to enable searching, then open that document in Apple's Preview on Sequoia. On the Preview File menu, click Export… and on that panel, you want to append some string (e.g. _withOCR) to the default exported name, set the Format to PDF, and then select embed text. That latter choice is the OCR functionality.
