How do I turn off Find My on a broken iPad screen for repair?

I am trying to get my iPad screen fixed and its telling me to trun off Find My setting, but how? I have read other posts and they say to do it in iCloud in a browser, but in the iCloud Find My page on the top left it only shows "Erase" or "Lost iPad". On another post it mentioned Manage your Apple Account Devices but I get this error "Can’t Remove Device From Account on the Web Because Stolen Device Protection is turned on". On my iPhone I can "Remove from account" Is that what I need to do to send it in for repair?
