Searching for a folder name in Finder on Mac

Was moving many files around and must have accidently dragged an entire folder into another folder. Is there a way to search for a folder name or can Finder expand all the folders and sub-folders so I can see if it is under another folder.

Is there a way to user Finder to search for a Folder name, so I can see where I might have dragged the folder I accidentally moved under another folder? I couldn't find any keyword in Finder that was for Folder name. If that is not available, is there a way to have Finder display all the folders and sub-folders, so I can visually look for the folder I lost?

Personally, I don't care for Spotlight for actual searching. I use Finder to hunt for a folder:

You put in a name or part of a name or even other stuff in the search field, and then by clicking on the + sign

you can restrict the search with dozens of possible conditions, including "Kind Is folder." At the bottom you can see the path the selection.

Unlike Spotlight, this doesn't search the Photos Library for filenames, it doesn't search the internet, and you can't do arithmetic.

Two options:

  1. Open a new Finder Window, and press cmd+3 to open column view. Clicking on the > symbol for a given folder will expand another column of sub-folders if they exist in the parent. Press cmd+2 to return to List view, or cmd+1 to icon view as desired.
  2. Open the Spotlight tool 🔍 from the menu bar and enter the following, where xxx is the case-insensitive, unique or partial name of the folder you have misplaced:
kind:folder name:xxx

Either select with the mouse or arrow key the folder result and then press the cmd key to expose the path to it. Or, press cmd+R to open a new Finder window on that folder.
