Timer circle is on my calendar on iphone and wont go

This looks like a reminder in the Reminders app. Have you looked there?

EDIT: You can always tap the “circle” in your screenshot to mark the reminder as completed.

In Reminders, just delete the offending reminder; you don't really need to edit it (as its title seems generic and perhaps of little importance.)
