my profile pictures for iMessage groups are not showing up

most of my profile pictures for group chats only In iMessage are not showing up. It shows up on my MacBook but not on my phone. I’ve tried restarting and updating my phone and messing around with the setting for the iMessage app but nothing. Some of my older gc have their photos but not my recent ones. It’s weird because for all my friends the profile picture shows up for them. I have an iPhone 14 and all the software is up to date.
