iTunes playlist order changed when transferred to thumb drive

I made a playlist in iTunes and had it in the order of songs to be played. It played back fine so I moved it to the thumb drive. All the songs were in a different order. How can I put them back like they were? I have iMac 24inch 2023 (although it says 2014 below) running Sequoia 15.6. The drive is 1G USB20FD MS DOIS FAT 16. Any help will be appreciated.
