Need/want 2 Browsers on my iPhone 16p Home Screen

I prefer DuckDuckGo (DDG) as my default browser (↑ private & ↑ protections). Switched my default browser to DDG, but some state & fed Agency sites won’t connect to DDG. Seems I need to have 2 browsers active, Safari & DDG. Had 2 browser apps on my last iPhone’s Home Screen, & would prefer that again. Having trouble setting this up or even just reloading Safari (it’s completely off my App list, on-or-off my Home Screen and doesn’t show on my browser list). Can I reload Safari and have 2 browser apps on home screen? Or am I limited to 1 app (I know can switch between browsers in settings - but that’s very cumbersome). Tricks to reloading Safari? Ideas? Solutions? (& I have banned Google from my iPhone - in all its forms!).

You can absolutely have 2 different browsers on your Home Screen. The only way Safari can be deleted from your phone is if you are in the EU, and if that is the case, you can go to the App Store and download it again. Otherwise Safari was restricted in Screen Time where it is hidden but not actually deleted or it is in your App Library and needs to be dragged back to your Home Screen.

Changing the Default Browser in Settings is for when you want a specific browser to open when you click a link.

You can change your default browser from Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Browser App. If you're not seeing Safari, check in Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps & Features > Safari. If it is turned off, toggle it on.
