Apple Card transactions not syncing with Quicken

Nearly every credit card company permits card transactions to be imported and synced into Quicken on a daily basis. Makes no sense to me that Apple can't make that work for its customers. I use the Apple card nearly exclusively and typing an average of 100+ transactions into Quicken monthly is ridiculous.

Apple can easily make it work. Apple has decided not to and like you say, it literally is one of the only credit cards that does not sync with Quicken, Quicken being the most popular personal finance app for decades by far.I’ve been using Quicken for over twenty years myself. Every single credit card I have syncs with Quicken but not the Apple Card for reasons known only by Apple. Contrary to what has been speculated Quicken is not the bad guy here. Apple has made the decision to not allow their Apple Card to sync. Goldman Sachs other credit card, the GM Mastercard, syncs with Quicken (I know because I have a GM Mastercard) so it’s not Goldman Sachs. This is all on Apple and their decision not to support the most popular financial software package there is.

By the way, users have been complaining about this since the day the Apple Card was announced in 2019, six years ago. So we either live with it or we cancel the Apple Card. Many have apparently.

That's an admirable position for Apple to take if it is true. But Apple does allow manual export from the Apple Wallet of entire statements as QFX for import into Quicken. I don't see why they couldn't allow the same sort of export of current transactions, by which I mean what Apple calls "new spending". The manual export and import is not difficult and takes very little time, especially if you're using an Apple device for the import. Mysterious.

Yes, exactly. I can download a .QFX file(a format Apple provides specifically for Quicken) of my Apple Card statement and import it into Quicken but I can’t connect directly. With recent updates a Quicken user can now store their account file in the Quicken cloud. So if Apple is so finicky about data mining why do they allow this?

This not about Goldman Sachs bank, not about Quicken connection protocols, it's about Apple deciding not to participate for whatever reason. Over the years there have many comments here about this and cancellation of user’s Apple Cards over this decision. But whatever. I manually enter Apple Card transactions into Quicken and manually reconcile as well.

I use Monarch Money. It syncs with my Apple Card, Apple Savings, and Apple Cash. So, as Jeff says, the opportunity is there. I don't know why Quicken chooses not to take advantage.
