Itunes does not see my iphone 11 pro max when I connect it

I have installed some music tracks from my laptop (windows 11 ) into my itunes, I want too transfer them onto my iphone, devices tab within itunes does not see my iphone, eventually devices identifies the phone there is no sync tab as online advice advises so I hit a brick wall. This is not a simple procedure it should be much simpler than this. My music tracks are my own and not purchased from apple. Some help please
