Blood oxygen feature not working despite updating iPhone and Apple Watch

For other users who have watches where the iOS 18.6.1 included the redesigned Blood Oxygen feature, performing an ECG first seemed to activate the Blood Oxygen feature. Don't forget the results are only viewed on the iPhone in the Respiratory section of the Health app.

First, make sure that both devices are up-to-date:

• iPhone Software Update.
• Watch Software Update.

Then make sure both devices are in close proximity with the following settings:

• AirPlane turned off
• WiFi turned on
• Bluetooth turned on

to a physical apple store and asking other customers there advice

not sure if this is the place where you can get closure as to why they asked what band you were using, maybe it's a statistic thing for them to view popular band choices?

An update on Blood Oxygen for Apple Watch in the U.S. - Apple

I was in a chat with support and they asked for serial number and then asked for band I had on it! Why its an Apple silicone band.

Starting the ECG app first worked for me as well, Thx!
