Adding a new Mail account

I keep getting the following message after changing my email settings


An account of type “SMTP” already exists. Only a single “SMTP” account is allowed to be saved.


iMac 24″, macOS 15.3

Where are you seeing this? What are you doing, specifically, that leads to this message?


At first glance it doesn't make much sense - I, for example, have 5 different SMTP servers configured for my various email accounts, so 'Only a single "SMTP" account is allowed' is clearly incorrect, which makes me wonder what you're doing that's triggering this message.


Can you describe the steps you're taking?
