Mail forgets last folder archived message

in macOS Monterey, Mail remembered the last used archive folder when archiving similar messages.

This means if you move several emails from the same sender to a specific archive folder, Mail in Monterey suggested that same folder for subsequent messages from that sender. 

However, in macOS Sequoia, this behavior doesn't work.

I have to manually select the archive folder for each new set of similar messages, even if you've already archived messages from the same sender to a particular folder previously.

Is this a new feature or is there a workaround?
