Photos stuck in Messages app when sending to non-iCloud user

was trying to send photos to a friend who doesnt have icloud theyre permantently stuck going around


15 photos sticking in his message app

Sending pictures can depend on your wifi and your internet service. The iPhone has to decide to use cell service or wifi. It can get complicated.


When I send a bunch of pictures, I use an iCloud Link. I select the pictures, and then "Share>Copy iCloud Link." Then I paste that into a Text. The recipient clicks on the link and it takes them to iCloud (whether or not they have an account,) and they can see the pictures there. They can download them for 30 days-- they're full resolution.
