iCloud Contacts not syncing for 2 months — no resolution yet
I noticed my contacts stopped syncing properly after I reset my MacBook. Since then, they have not been up to date across any of my devices.
With my Apple Support advisor, I’ve tried multiple log retrievals, resets, signing in and out, and even had the engineers clear my iCloud Contacts caches. Still, nothing has worked. Now the iCloud “Contacts” handle doesn’t even appear on my devices.
Support tells me the engineers are “actively working on it,” but every time I ask, I’m told there’s no definitive timeline. I even asked about disabling my account and creating a new one, but that would mean data migration, loss of my @icloud.com address, and issues with purchases linked to my account.
Right now, I’m using my Outlook email as a workaround to save new contacts. But I would still expect iCloud Contacts to work — my Apple account profile itself is not up to date and cannot be modified properly.
