Microsoft Remote Access black screen via MacBook Air
Not sure why Microsoft Remote Access black screen via … - Apple Community was closed but I had the same issue with Windows App (Formerly remote desktop)
I found these two things together provided for better remote connection reliability:
1) on the remote connection, click Edit PC and tick "Reconnect if the connection is dropped"
2) on Windows App / Settings set Graphics interpolation level to Medium
It now seems fairly reliable; others can advise their experience or suggest improvements.
