I have a large number of music files downloaded from iTunes circa 2005. In the course of transferring them from my mid-2010 27" iMac to my 2023 MacBook M2 Pro, Music now refuses to play them and states that the computer is not authorized. Following the presented authorization link/process fails every time. Is there a fix that can restore access to these valued files?

Tracks sold in that era were DRM-protected. They should still play if the machine is authorized to the same account from which they were originally purchased. If that runs into a problem, contact Apple Support.
